We believe that God has created us to be in an intimate relationship with him. And that intimate relationship is right at the very heart of worship and prayer and key to how we understand it here at St. Paul's.

Not only is it important to understand why and how we worship & pray, but it is also helpful to understand what happens when we worship and pray.

When we worship and prayer we are headed toward one goal: intimacy with God, and as we spend time in his presence we become more like the people he created us to be. This is something that the bible speaks about too, we see it when we read from the book of James where we are reminded to ‘come close to God and God will come close to you'.

Worship and prayer form and inform every activity of the Christians life and as a result marks out not just our public gathered worship services, children's work, outreach and is at the heart of everything we do at St Paul's: not just on Sunday, but with the whole of our lives.
